On Saturday, August 11th, 2012 from noon-10 PM at the Hiltebrant Recreation Center in Old Forge, New York, three tribute bands, plus local favorite Showtime, will be performing favorites from Bon Jovi, Led Zepplin and Van Halen.
Gates open at 12pm, with WICKED, a hot young GLAM band from Central New York, opening at 1pm. SHOWTIME, a popular CNY cover band, performs at 2:00pm. The self-proclaimed “Ultimate Cover/Party Band since the 90s” has been a longtime Central Adirondack favorite.
KASHMIR comes on at 4:00 pm to perform songs by Led Zepplin. KASHMIR seeks to re-create the mindset of a 70's Zeppelin Show utilizing authentic vintage stage gear, costumes, and special effects, with attention to great detail in a non pretentious way.
At 6 pm, BLAZE OF GLORY, a Bon Jovi tribute band, takes the stage: Apparently, they’ve got Bon Jovi's look, voice and moves down pat! Blaze Of Glory looks and sounds so much like Bon Jovi even the most discerning Bon Jovi fans are amazed. They feature an outstanding five-piece ensemble cast that has been carefully hand-selected from some of Canada's finest recording acts - both for their unmistakable musical prowess and their remarkable resemblance to the members of Bon Jovi!
Completely Unchained closes the night at 8:00pm. Completely Unchained are four musicians that re- create the ultimate Van Halen production - the attitude, sound, excitement, energy and most of all the fun that Van Halen produced as one of the best rock bands in the world.
Completely Unchained takes the concept of a tribute band and raises it to a whole new level. No one else brings the entire package together like Completely Unchained! (fans from Forgefest 2011 >)
In addition to the hordes of cover band music, over 20 vendors will be out and about selling wares and providing various services. Some of what you’ll find here include a tattoo artist, face painting, food available from Walt’s Diner, and beer from event sponsor Bud Light. We are the most KID AND PET FRIENDLY MUSICAL EVENT in the northeast!
Forgefest will be held outside, so bring along your lawn chairs/blankets to sit on. In the unexpected case of rain, the show will sit go on – inside the pavilion.Free parking is available on-site, with overflow parking along North Street. Don't forget to bring
those budding baby rockers, either!
